Services Delivered 24/7

Mainstreet Pediatrics is a full-service primary-care pediatric clinic. We provide compassionate, individualized care to patients from birth to age 21. In 2018, we were named a Health Care Innovator by the Governor.

Our experienced pediatric-trained doctors of nursing practice and nurse practitioners believe the health care team and the family are partners, working together to make the best decisions about the care and treatment of the child. We offer regular office hours, extended weekend hours, urgent care and walk-in hours, after-hours care, telemedicine, and in-home visits.

Our goal is to make health-care accessible and cost-effective for our patients. With that in mind, we encourage you to check with with us before heading to an urgent care facility or to the emergency room for a non-life threatening emergency. We may be able to treat the issue and save you the cost of an emergency or urgent-care visit. We are 100 percent committed to providing patients with access seven days a week.

Primary Care

Consistent health care will help your child feel their best and support their growth. Services include:

  • Well Child Care
  • Acute Care
  • Chronic Illness Diagnosis & Management
  • Newborn Care
  • Immunizations

In addition to taking many insurance plans, we also offer a direct primary care plan for families that prefer to even out their health care payments. Parents also have access to our concierge services.

Urgent Care

When something goes wrong, we’re always here to provide pediatric urgent care. Even if it’s the middle of the night- someone is on-call! As always, if your child is experiencing an emergency, please call 911.

We are available 24/7 for urgent care. Call us at any time and together we can determine whether a telemedicine call, a house call, or an office visit is best. We offer extended office hours for urgent care visits –  7:30 am – 7:00 pm.

We offer walk-in hours 6 days per week. If your child feels ill or is suffering from a minor injury, give us a call or simply walk-in to the office during our walk-in hours. We are here to help, and we will see your child as quickly as possible.

After hours

No matter the time of day or night – every day of the week – please call our office for after-hours care. We offer scheduled hours for walk ins as well.

When you can’t get to the doctor, the doctor can come to you… virtually. Schedule state-of-the-art, 24/7 telemedicine appointments via our My Care app.

We offer the latest telemedicine video conferencing technology. It can be extremely helpful during bad weather, for follow-up visits, and to avoid unnecessary visits to an urgent care center or the emergency room. Telemedicine allows us to evaluate, diagnose and treat your children via real-time video.

Hours: 24/7

In-Home Care

We believe house calls augment the excellent services we offer in our clinic. We offer high quality, expert pediatric care for your children in the comfort of their own home. In-home visits are appropriate for families that find it difficult to bring their child into our clinic for any reason. We make it a priority to be present and accessible to patients and their families – regardless of time or day of the week.

Lactation Consultation

Whether you want to exclusively breastfeed your baby, pump and bottle feed, or formula feed, we are here to provide education and assistance through our practitioners and our board-certified lactation consultant, Kelly Allison-Pickering, RN, IBCLC, RLC.

Kelly can see you for a lactation consult here in our convenient office location or in the comfort of your own home in the Parker area. Often, your lactation consult can be billed to your health insurance company (be sure to contact your insurance company for the specifics of your plan for lactation coverage). Common reasons for lactation consults include but are not limited to:

  • Prenatal questions or concerns
  • Private breastfeeding classes
  • Low milk supply
  • Difficulty latching
  • Sore nipples
  • Slow weight gain
  • Reflux
  • Weaning
  • Pumping
  • Returning to work
  • Oversupply
  • Weaning
  • Extended breastfeeding
  • Medication use during breastfeeding
  • Mastitis or plugged ducts
  • Tongue tie
  • Prematurity
  • Breastfeeding twins or multiples
  • Tandem nursing
  • Baby with special needs such as Downs Syndrome or a cleft lip

Even if you simply feel like you need some emotional support and encouragement with breastfeeding, Kelly is available to meet with you. To learn more about breastfeeding support at Mainstreet Pediatrics or to schedule a private consult with Kelly, contact us at 720-458-6543.

Allergy Testing

Finally, an easy treatment for food allergies! Mainstreet Pediatrics offers testing and treatment for environmental and food allergies. We do an initial skin test to determine what the allergies are and then perscribe a sublingual (under the tongue) immunotherapy serum that desensitizes your child to the allergen. This is great for kids with asthma, eczema and food allergies.

Direct Primary Care

Direct Primary Care is a membership-based approach to healthcare, which excludes insurance. This no-nonsense approach cuts out “red tape” and third-party involvement in patients’ and providers’ healthcare decisions. Direct Primary Care is a monthly fee per child that covers well-child care visits, chronic illness diagnosis and management, newborn care, urgent care and after-hours visits, vision and hearing tests, annual physicals, telemedicine consults, and more. Direct Primary Care can save you money, even if you have health insurance! The low monthly fee bypasses your co-pays and ensures you will never meet your high deductible! Do the math! Take control of your child’s healthcare again!

About Us

We want our patients to live stronger, healthier lives. Our goal is to empower you and your child to participate in decisions about his or her healthcare and well-being. We listen to you, get to know your family and your child so we have the most complete information about his or her life and lifestyle. We don’t just treat the symptom, we treat the whole child.

Our offices are warm and friendly purposely designed for your comfort. We hope you will feel welcome and at home when you are here. Make sure to check out our amazing fish tank and visit with our lovable bull dog, Dr. Oppenheimer, or Dr. O for short.  Dr. O is our office mascot and therapy pet. He isn’t as active as our fish, but he’s soft as a bunny and can make even the toughest days easier!

What’s Behind Our Name?

The name Mainstreet Pediatrics was chosen not only to pay homage to the Parker, Colorado community, but also because the words “Main Street” refer to a place of traditional principles. Our values are represented in our philosophy of service before self together with high-quality, patient-centered, and family-centered care.

Our Mission

At Mainstreet Pediatrics, our mission is to provide compassionate, high quality, readily accessible healthcare; care that is both effective and efficient, in a family centered environment. We believe that a partnership with our families, knowledgeable and experienced staff, a commitment to excellence, along with an open-mind and generous heart, are essential for the provision of exceptional care.

We are committed to our families and the health of their children and we strive to remain easily accessible to them. This commitment is reflected in our hours, use of cutting edge technology, and our philosophy of care. We believe it is an honor and privilege to be a part of your child’s healthcare and promise to treat each one with respect and tenderness – as if they were our very own

Core Values

Honor – A code of personal integrity. It’s found in one’s beliefs, but exhibited through one’s actions
Courage – Courage takes the form of physical and mental strength
Commitment – Commitment compels us to serve our patients and their families by providing exceptional care and accessibility

Military and First Responders

Military and first responders are close to our hearts. As co-owners of Mainstreet Pediatrics, our military and first responder backgrounds inform a great deal of how we live and care about people and patients. Lorri was a military child, an active duty officer, military spouse, and mother to 3 military children. Brian was an active duty officer and an Aurora Police officer. We understand the unique challenges – financial burdens, frequent moves and relocation, isolation from family, friends, and relatives, and long family separations related to military training or deployments – and are committed to making the lives of our military families and first responders less challenging.

Our Leadership

Lorri Phipps of Mainstreet Pediatrics

Dr. Lorri Phipps, DNP, CPNP-PC

I consider it a privilege to care for your child and do so as if he or she were my very own. I have always dreamed of owning my own pediatric practice and in 2017 that dream came true. It’s a practice that operates like one I’d want to take my child to as a parent. One where you can reach a doctor at any time day or night when your child is ill, where the doctor will even come to you, because she knows what it’s like to worry about a sick child. In my more than 20 years of experience as a nationally board certified pediatric nurse practitioner, I have cared for children in many different settings and treated children with a variety of common and complex medical needs. As a Doctor of Nursing Practice, I have the same medical practice expertise as a medical doctor in general pediatric practice with the added insight that a nurse brings to the table.

I’ve based my practice on values I’ve learned in life and in military service – compassion, honor, courage, and commitment. When you come to Mainstreet Pediatrics, we work collaboratively with you and your child to make the best decisions for his or her care. Personalized, collaborative care that is flexible and readily accessible that’s what you experience at Mainstreet Pediatrics.

Brian Phipps

As the Co-Owner and Medical Practice Executive at Mainstreet Pediatrics, I’m honored to be part of this team. I may not be one of the doctors or nurses here, but I am just as invested as they are in making sure your child get’s the best possible care. As decorated Marine Corps Officer of over 21 years, I share the same values as my wife. In fact, we have a special place in our hearts for those who serve in the armed forces or as first responders and go out of our way to find ways to make like a little easier for them and their families. I still serve in the Reserves at USNORTHCOM and was an Aurora Police Officer for the last 6 years.
