My name is Alyssa. I am a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care, and am so excited for the opportunity to get to know you and your family! Originally from South Dakota, I graduated nursing school from USD in 2011. Since then, I have been practicing in pediatrics with the majority of my healthcare career spent caring for babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). In 2021, I graduated from the University of Colorado with my master’s in nursing and became certified as a PNP. As a provider, my expertise is in the newborn through toddler period. However, I have grown to appreciate every stage of life. I love getting to know your family, speaking with elementary through middle school children has become a highlight of my day. I also enjoy helping teenagers manage the adolescent period, with an interest in mental health and quality sleep. I take pride in staying up-to-date with current evidence-based practices so I can guide you and your family to achieve your health goals in the most efficient way possible. I believe that every individual is unique and I truly value shared decision making with my patients and families, recognizing that you know your child best.
